Atlanta, Georgia – Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the latest addition to its lineup, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance. This new model boasts an impressive performance feat, being the fastest accelerating AMG model to date, capable of reaching 0-62mph in just 2.8 seconds.

Debuting at the Chinese Grand Prix, the GT 63 S E Performance features a complex hybrid V8 powertrain that combines a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine with an electric motor and battery. This setup delivers a total output of 805bhp and a massive 1,047lb ft of torque, with the electric units strategically placed on the rear axle for improved weight distribution.

The GT 63 S E Performance incorporates technology derived from Mercedes’ F1 team, ensuring maximum power output at all times.

The vehicle offers eight driving modes, ranging from electric to race, each adjusting various components of the powertrain, steering, damping, and even the sound profile. Additionally, the GT sports advanced features like semi-active roll stabilization, active rear-steering, and active aero elements for enhanced performance.

Externally, the GT 63 S E Performance features a new plug-in loading flap, distinctive twin trapezoidal tailpipes, ‘E Performance’ badges, 20-inch alloys, and various trim package options. Michael Schiebe, AMG’s boss, expressed his excitement for the model, highlighting its unprecedented acceleration capabilities and dynamic driving experience.
