Three wounded, one killed in late-night shooting near NYC lounge

Three men were injured and one person was fatally wounded in a shooting incident that occurred near the Kama Restaurant and Lounge in the Bronx early Monday morning, according to the police. The altercation took place around 2:45 a.m. near the intersection of East Burnside Avenue and Anthony Avenue in the Mount Hope neighborhood. The victims ranged in age and were determined to be 23, 32, 34, and 37 years old. All of the victims of the shooting were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The 34-year-old victim who was shot ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital. The authorities have not released his identity pending notification of his family. Another victim, a 23-year-old man, was shot in the leg and is currently receiving treatment at St. Barnabas Hospital. The third victim, a 37-year-old man, was struck in the foot and is now reportedly in stable condition at Lincoln Medical Center. The fourth victim of the incident is a 32-year-old man. He arrived at Montefiore Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the back. Investigators have determined that his injuries are also related to the same incident, and he is listed in stable condition.

The exact cause of the altercation remains unclear. As they investigate the shooting, the police have not yet confirmed the intended target of the violence. It is yet to be determined whether the shots were fired inside or outside the Kama Restaurant and Lounge. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
