Grammy Awards 2024: SZA and Taylor Swift poised for big wins as stars set to light up the stage

Los Angeles, California — The 66th annual Grammy Awards are set to be a night of historic wins and iconic performances. With SZA and Taylor Swift leading the nominee pack, and the return of legendary artists like Tracy Chapman and Joni Mitchell, music enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the biggest night in music.

Former “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah will return for the fourth time as the event’s host. Noah is not only hosting but is also a nominee for best comedy album, alongside fellow comedians such as Dave Chappelle and Wanda Sykes. This year’s lineup features a star-studded list of performers, presenters, and nominees, creating a highly anticipated event for music fans around the world.

SZA, with nine nominations for her album “SOS,” is the top nominee this weekend. If she wins album of the year, SZA would become the first Black woman to win the award in 25 years. Taylor Swift could also make history if her album “Midnights” wins album of the year, becoming the first artist to win the category four times.

This year, the Grammys are introducing three new categories – best African music performance, best alternative jazz album, and best pop dance recording. As for the presenters, the likes of Meryl Streep, Lenny Kravitz, and Oprah Winfrey are expected to take the stage, adding even more star power to the event.

With more than 90 categories, the Grammys are known for sprinkling in some star power to keep viewers engaged throughout the event. The show will be aired live on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. PT on CBS, and will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.
