Man arrested and charged for killing three people with his van and injuring three others

Early this morning in Nottingham, England, a tragedy occurred that claimed the lives of three victims and left another three injured. At approximately 4 a.m., two individuals were discovered deceased on separate streets and a third person was found hurt.

An hour or so later around 5:00 a.m. the driver of he vehicle subsequently rammed into a woman and man on a road corner. The man had a visible head laceration but could get back on his feet. The woman seemed to be unharmed and was sitting on the pavement.

Nottinghamshire Police Chief Constable Kate Meynell confirmed that the investigation was local and not by counter terrorism investigators. Additionally, she maintained that they are confident that the three scenes are linked and that one person has been detained in custody.

In total three people are deceased and three others are in injured in the hospital. The suspected driver is in custody.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak labeled the event as horrendous and pleaded for the police to be granted time to examine the crime.

Several images were posted on social media of police officers, some of them holding firearms, next to enclosures in different sectors of the city center. Moreover, the tram network also halted all facilities in the city. Nottingham is populated by around 350,000 inhabitants and is located nearly 120 miles to the north of London.
