A shocking double homicide has rocked the community of Queens, New York, as the mother of a man found dead in a garbage bag on a street was also discovered dead. The suspect, identified as Roscoe Danielson, was captured on chilling video dragging his murdered brother’s body from a home. Police have arrested Danielson in connection with the murders of his mother, Sheryl Myrick, and his brother, Kyle Danielson. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the exact motive behind the gruesome killings.
The lifeless body of Sheryl Myrick was found around 2:45 a.m. inside a residence on 104th Street in North Corona, less than a day after her son Kyle’s body was discovered in a trash bag on a nearby sidewalk. Law enforcement sources revealed that Myrick had suffered stab wounds, a slit throat, and multiple gunshot wounds. Kyle’s body, found earlier on Wednesday, had a puncture wound to his neck and appeared to have been shot as well.
Disturbing footage shows the suspect, believed to be Roscoe Danielson, dragging Kyle’s bagged body onto the sidewalk before calmly walking away with a shopping cart containing a bottle of bleach. Witnesses reported that he appeared unfazed, blending in with pedestrians passing by. The video also captures pedestrians unaware of the gruesome scene unfolding before them.
Investigators suspect that Roscoe, who has a history of sealed arrests, killed his brother and mother during a dispute. The exact nature of the deadly clash is still under investigation. Andre Myrick, the brother of the slain woman and uncle to the suspect, expressed his shock and disbelief, stating that Roscoe had allegedly killed his family members before removing their bodies from the home they all grew up in.
Residents in the area were stunned by the horrific events. Michelle, a 19-year-old neighbor who viewed the surveillance video, recounted how police had knocked on her door, seeking access to her surveillance footage after a dead body was dumped outside her house. She described the body as “fully naked” and wrapped in bloody sheets inside a hard bag. The strong smell and presence of flies drew attention to the first body, prompting a call to 911.
Roscoe was apprehended by police on Wednesday night near the crime scene. Upon his arrest, authorities discovered that he was carrying a gun and a knife. He was taken into custody for questioning and has since been charged with concealment of a human corpse, tampering with evidence, criminal possession of stolen property and a weapon, as well as acting in a manner injurious to a child.
As the investigation continues, authorities are working to uncover the motive behind the brutal killings.
