Mirrorwatch Madness: Overwatch 2’s Season 10 Introduces Villainous Heroes and PvP Event!

Los Angeles, California – Overwatch 2’s much-anticipated tenth season is set to kick off on April 16, introducing a new non-binary damage hero named Venture into the game’s roster. The debut of Venture comes after a successful test phase last month, building excitement among fans for what the new hero will bring to the game. Additionally, the upcoming season, dubbed “Venture Forth,” will feature a special limited-time event known as Mirrorwatch, running from April 23 to May 13. This event will see Blizzard reimagine its beloved heroes as villains and vice versa, adding a thrilling twist to the gameplay experience.

During season 10, players can look forward to a range of new skins, including Tracer, Reinhardt, and Brigitte styled as members of the antagonistic organization Talon, while Doomfist, Widowmaker, and Sombra will sport the iconic blue and white Overwatch colors. This season will also introduce a PvP event where these remixed teams will face off, with certain abilities in each character’s kit being altered to shake up the gameplay dynamics. For example, Doomfist will now have a shield and the ability to defend his teammates, offering a fresh take on the hero’s playstyle.

One standout addition to the season is the customizable Mythic Skin for Mercy, which transforms the typically nurturing healer into a vindictive Talon agent known as Vengeance Mercy. This new skin, available as the ultimate prize in the battle pass for season 10, showcases Mercy in a darker light, giving players the opportunity to explore a different side of the character. Alongside Vengeance Mercy, various Mirrorwatch skins will also be available throughout the store and battle pass.

Further enhancing the gaming experience, Blizzard is running a short trial for the new Clash mode, announced at Blizzcon last year. From April 16 to 29, players can try out the new Hanaoka map, a reimagined version of the Hanamura map from the original Overwatch, designed for a unique game type where teams compete to capture five objective points. These limited-time events and new features add depth and excitement to the Overwatch 2 gaming experience, ushering in a new era for players to explore and enjoy.

As season 10 commences, Overwatch 2 will see several changes aimed at improving player experience, including making all heroes, including Venture, free for all players and allowing previous Mythic Skins to be unlocked through a new tab in the store. Despite these updates, details on the highly anticipated story missions remain unknown, leaving players eagerly awaiting further developments in the game’s narrative. Overall, season 10 promises to be an exciting and transformative chapter in the Overwatch 2 universe, offering players new challenges and opportunities to engage with the game in fresh and innovative ways.
