Mother accused of stabbing her husband and driving a car with their children into a pond

CARROLLTON, TX – A mother from Carrollton, Texas, faces serious charges after allegedly stabbing her husband and driving her car, with their three children inside, into a pond, according to local law enforcement.

The woman, identified as Wei Fen Ong, is currently facing one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon resulting in serious bodily injury, along with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Officers responded to a distress call on Friday morning from a man in the 4400 block of Tall Knight Lane. The man claimed to have been stabbed by his wife. Carrollton Fire Rescue subsequently transported the injured man to a nearby hospital, where he is expected to recover.

In a separate incident, police in the neighboring town of Lewisville received a call about a vehicle, driven by the man’s wife, that had been plunged into a lake. The couple’s three children, aged 8, 9, and 12, were in the backseat of the car at the time of the incident.

Emergency services transported all four occupants of the vehicle to local hospitals. One child had to be resuscitated by a Lewisville officer, and another was revived en route to the hospital. One child remains in critical condition, while the others are reported to be stable.

The circumstances leading up to the stabbing and the subsequent car crash remain uncertain. Local residents reported hearing yelling and screaming prior to the stabbing incident.

Ong is currently in the custody of the Carrollton Police Department and is expected to be transferred to Denton County Detention. It is not yet known if she has secured legal representation.
