NCIS: Hawai’i Cancelled by CBS After Three Seasons – Surprising Finale Details!

Los Angeles, CA – CBS has made the decision to cancel “NCIS: Hawai’i” after three seasons, marking the end of the popular spinoff series. The show, which starred Vanessa Lachey and LL Cool J, is set to conclude with its season finale on May 6.

Despite its strong viewership numbers, averaging around 7.8 million viewers in Nielsen’s ratings, “NCIS: Hawai’i” did not meet the network’s renewal criteria, falling behind other CBS series. The cancellation comes as CBS plans to introduce a new “NCIS” prequel series titled “Origins” in the upcoming season, focusing on a younger version of Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

With 54 episodes over three seasons, “NCIS: Hawai’i” will have the shortest run of any series in the NCIS franchise, excluding the newer “Sydney” spinoff. The show’s conclusion also marks the end of CBS filming in Hawaii since 2010, following the footsteps of “Hawaii Five-0” and “Magnum P.I.”

“NCIS: Hawai’i” was produced by CBS Studios and featured a diverse cast including Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Jason Antoon, Tori Anderson, and Kian Talan, with Matt Bosack, Jan Nash, Christopher Silber, and Larry Teng serving as executive producers.

CBS has now finalized decisions on all its scripted series, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the network’s next lineup. Stay updated on all network cancellations, renewals, and new series orders with “THR’s broadcast scorecard.”
