Prince Harry’s Daring Sit-Ski Attempt at 2025 Invictus Games Training Camp!

WHISTLER, CANADA – Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, visited the training camp for the 2025 Invictus Games in Whistler, Canada. The Invictus Games is a sporting event for injured and sick military personnel and veterans to aid their recovery, founded by Prince Harry in 2014. The couple met with competitors at the Whistler Blackcomb ski resort, where they witnessed athletes participating in sit-skiing and other winter sports.

The upcoming games will host around 550 competitors from up to 25 nations, competing in events such as sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair basketball, alpine skiing, snowboarding, and wheelchair curling. These games will mark the first time that winter sports events will be included in the competition.

The idea for the Invictus Games was inspired by the 2013 Warrior Games in the US, where injured and retired service personnel competed. As a way to provide a support network for those with “invisible injuries”, Prince Harry aimed to create a space where individuals could feel understood and empowered.

In addition to their visit to the training camp, Prince Harry and Meghan also launched a newly branded website, titled “The Office of Prince Harry & Meghan, the Duke & Duchess of Sussex,” encompassing their charity and media business, Archewell.

The couple’s visit coincided with news of King’s diagnosis with cancer, leading the 75-year-old to step back from public duties for treatment. During his visit, Prince Harry met with his father, Prince Charles, although did not have the chance to meet with his brother.

The Duchess of Sussex remained in the US during the visit, where the couple resides with their two young children.

The Invictus Games, along with the couple’s continued efforts in their charitable and media ventures, highlight their ongoing commitment to supporting and empowering individuals in need.
