PENN HILLS, Pa. (AP) — A deadly shooting erupted in a suburban Pittsburgh bar, resulting in the tragic deaths of two individuals and injuries to seven others, as confirmed by police on Sunday. Allegheny County Police Department’s homicide unit swiftly responded to a call for assistance from the Penn Hills Police Department following the early morning incident at Ballers Hookah Lounge and Cigar Bar in Penn Hills.
Upon arrival around 3 a.m. on Sunday, first responders discovered the bodies of an adult male and an adult female within the bar. Additionally, they identified seven more victims, some of whom were transported from the scene while others sought medical attention at nearby hospitals. According to a statement released by Allegheny County police on social media, one victim remains in critical condition, while the others sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Initial reports suggest that an altercation occurred inside the bar, leading to gunfire from multiple individuals, as stated by county police. The statement did not disclose whether any suspects had been apprehended following the shooting.
