PARIS, FRANCE – A man suspected of a deadly assault near the iconic Eiffel Tower was apprehended by authorities on Saturday. The incident resulted in one fatality and left another individual wounded, as reported by Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin.
The suspect, who was promptly arrested by the police, allegedly targeted pedestrians around the Quai de Grenelle. The Paris Fire Brigade attended to the injured party, while the area was cordoned off to the public following the incident.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the suspect may have shouted “Allahu Akbar” during the attack. However, this information, initially reported by AFP, could not be independently verified.
In the heart of Paris, near the Eiffel Tower, the attack claimed one life and inflicted injuries on another individual. The police have since launched an investigation into the incident and have urged the public to steer clear of the area.
As the investigation continues, the authorities are working diligently to uncover the motive behind the attack and any potential connections to larger threats.
