Teen arrested for stabbing Circle K clerk several times

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL – A fatal stabbing incident at a local convenience store led to the arrest of a 19-year-old woman on Tuesday. The incident occurred at a Circle K store in Altamonte Springs, resulting in the death of a 21-year-old clerk.

The Altamonte Springs Police Department reported that officers were dispatched to AdventHealth Altamonte’s emergency room on December 19, 2023, around 10:54 p.m. They were responding to reports of a female adult who had been stabbed.

The victim, identified as Lakeira Hall, 21, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Investigations revealed that Hall was embroiled in a disagreement with the suspect, Leanna Ramnarine, 19, at the Circle K store located on 109 E Altamonte Drive.

Ramnarine allegedly used a knife to stab Hall multiple times during the altercation. A friend who was present at the scene transported Hall to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Authorities apprehended Ramnarine and booked her into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility. She is currently being held without bond and is facing a charge of second-degree murder.
