Three friends dead after football viewing party

KANSAS CITY, OK – Three friends who convened at a Kansas City residence for a football viewing party were found dead two days later, a shocking incident that sparked a flurry of questions and speculation. The property was rented by Jordan Willis, who, according to John Picerno, Willis’ attorney, was unconscious on the couch for two days while friends of the victims tried to reach him.

The deceased, identified as David Harrington, 37, Ricky Johnson, 38, and Clayton McGeeney, 36, were all visitors at the NW 83rd Terrace home Willis rented. It was here they intended to watch their football team’s last game of the regular season on January 7. Picerno stated that Willis last remembers them leaving through the front door and was in the dark about their fate until law enforcement arrived at his residence on Tuesday night.

In a bizarre turn of events, Kansas City investigators announced they do not suspect any foul play and are not probing Willis in association with the deaths. The unusual circumstances surrounding the incident have left many searching for answers, particularly since the bodies were discovered outside in freezing temperatures. Meanwhile, the warmth of Willis’ home was just a few yards away.

Results of a forthcoming toxicology report might shed some light on the puzzling incident. One possibility is that the victims may have ventured outside to smoke, get fresh air, or find an alternative to an occupied bathroom, according to Picerno’s speculation.

While exact circumstances leading to the tragic events remain under investigation, Picerno emphasized that Willis, a scientist developing an HIV vaccine, would have aided his friends had he been aware of their predicament.
