“Hell’s Kitchen,” a production that weaves the singer’s music into a semi-autobiographical tale of a teenage girl in New York, secured major nominations including Best Musical and Best Actress in a Musical for Maleah Joi Moon. Competing against it in the Best Musical category are “Illinoise,” “The Outsiders,” “Suffs,” and “Water for Elephants.”
