ENSENADA, Mexico – Authorities have confirmed that three tourists found dead in Mexico were shot in the head and their bodies were dumped in a well. Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson, along with their American friend Jack Carter Rhoad, disappeared while on a surfing trip in Ensenada on April 27.

Their bodies were discovered in a 15-foot deep well, approximately 4 miles from the site of the attack in the town of Santo Tomás. Officials suggest that the men were targeted when they attempted to prevent the theft of their pickup truck for its tires, resulting in a fatal confrontation.

The Robinson brothers, aged 30 and 33, were visiting Callum who was pursuing a dream of becoming a professional lacrosse player in the US. Jake, the younger brother, was preparing to start a new job as a doctor in Victoria.
