Two people found dead inside storage unit

SANTA ANA, CA – Law enforcement in Santa Ana has launched an investigation into a bloody crime scene discovered at a storage facility, where two people were found dead, a third one critically injured, and a bloodstained medieval-style spear was found on Thursday.

The Santa Ana Police Department was alerted about a disturbance at a personal and business storage facility on the 1200 block of East Chestnut Avenue, arriving at the site around 4.30 p.m.

An area resident said he saw the police arrive moments after hearing about gunshots from a woman. The witness spoke of encountering a police officer who was removing a spear from storage unit E.

The same witness, who chose to stay anonymous, reported seeing a dead older man and a young woman, who appeared lifeless, inside the facility. The woman was later confirmed to be dead.

The older male victim, described as “nice” and “a sweetheart” by the witness, had reportedly mentioned being proficient in medieval swords. The man also mentioned a probable familial link between the older man and the young woman, indicating she could be his niece.

The third individual was found critically injured and was rushed to the hospital. His identity, as well as his role in this violent incident, remain uncertain.

Investigations are underway, with detectives refraining from commenting on potential motives behind the fatal incident.
