Described as a radio man, voice actor, producer, and fan favorite of convention attendees worldwide, Dodson had a career spanning over four decades. He was best known for lending his voice to some of Hollywood’s most iconic characters in popular movies like “Star Wars” and “Gremlins.” Dodson’s journey in the entertainment industry began in 1983 with “Return of the Jedi” and continued with his role as the voice of numerous Gremlins in 1984’s “Gremlins.”

Known for his love of fans, Dodson made appearances at conventions globally, including being inducted into multiple local chapters of the Star Wars 501st Legions over the years. His work extended beyond movies to include video games like “Star Trek Online” and “Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.”

According to Dodson’s daughter via TMZ, the actor passed away from a heart attack while attending Horror Con in Evansville, Indiana. She recounted that he had flown in for the event, checked into his hotel, and suffered a “massive heart attack” while asleep.
