SAN ANTONIO, TX — A woman was robbed at gunpoint and pistol-whipped after going to a Northeast Side apartment complex for a sale arranged online, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Police were searching Thursday for at least two suspects accused in the robbery. The woman believed she was going to meet someone connected to the online transaction when she was instead confronted and attacked, police said. Authorities had not announced any arrests as of the latest available report.
The robbery occurred at an apartment complex on Uhr Lane on the city’s Northeast Side. Reporting on the investigation identified the location as Avistar at the Crest, an apartment community at 12660 Uhr Lane.
Investigators said the woman was confronted by the suspects and held at gunpoint. During the robbery, she was struck with a handgun. Police described the encounter as an ambush connected to the previously arranged online sale.
Authorities had not publicly identified the woman, and additional information about the extent of her injuries was not immediately available. Police also had not released detailed descriptions of the suspects in the information available Thursday.
