A couple and their five-year-old son stabbed to death

BRONX, NY – A horrifying scene was discovered in a Bronx apartment early Sunday morning when police found a family of three, including a young child, stabbed to death, as confirmed by local law enforcement.

Responding to a 911 call just past 6:30 a.m., police arrived at a residential building in the Mott Haven area of the Bronx, situated at 674 East 136th Street. In the first-floor hallway, they found a 38-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his chest.

The grim scene continued to unfold as officers, noticing a child on the floor, forced their way into a nearby apartment. Inside, they found a 33-year-old woman and a five-year-old boy, both fatally stabbed.

First responders declared the woman and child dead at the scene. Autopsies are currently being conducted to establish the exact cause of death for the three victims.

Neighbors reported that the family had recently moved into the apartment and were known to keep to themselves. The identities of the victims have not been released as authorities are still in the process of identifying and notifying any surviving family members. The investigation is ongoing.
