According to reports from Deepstate, an open-source intelligence group, Russian troops launched attacks in two directions, seizing several villages in the Liptsi district located 30km north of Kharkiv city. Additionally, they reached the outskirts of the town of Vovchansk, which is 40km further east. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy acknowledged the intense battles taking place along the border area, highlighting the challenges faced by the Ukrainian army.
Despite the escalation of hostilities, Ukrainian forces have managed to repel several attacks in the region. However, the situation remains precarious, with concerns growing about the need for additional reserves to bolster the defence.
