Luxury Polestar 3 SUV Price Drops to $73,400 – Full Specs and Features Included!

Los Angeles, California – Polestar has announced new pricing details for its upcoming midsize electric three-row SUV, the Polestar 3, signaling a departure from its original price projections. The Polestar 3, initially expected to start at $83,900 in the luxury vehicle segment, will now start at $73,400 for the Long Range model with all-wheel drive.

In a move that reflects the evolving landscape of electric vehicle sales, Polestar’s decision to lower the starting price of the Polestar 3 comes amidst a broader trend of decreasing prices in the EV market. The entry-level version of the Polestar 3, inclusive of the $1,400 destination charge, will now be priced at $74,800, making it more accessible to a wider range of consumers.

Customers opting for the Polestar 3 will receive the automaker’s Pilot pack as standard, which incorporates a suite of driver-assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and a heads-up display. This step is significant as many other automakers typically charge extra for these advanced safety features.

Additionally, Polestar is offering customization options for customers looking to enhance their driving experience further. The Plus pack, priced at $5,500, includes premium features like a 1,610-watt Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 25 speakers, “bio-attributed” MicroTech and animal welfare wool seats, heated rear seats, and 21-inch wheels.

For performance enthusiasts, Polestar is introducing a Performance pack for the Polestar 3, priced at $79,400, which includes engineering chassis tuning, 22-inch Performance forged wheels, and a software upgrade that boosts output to 517 horsepower and 671 pound-feet of torque.

Overall, customers have the option to select all three packs – Pilot, Plus, and Performance – for a total price of $84,000, placing the fully equipped Polestar 3 slightly above its original base price projection.

Production for the Polestar 3 will commence at Geely’s factory in Chengdu, China, in the second quarter, with plans to start production at the South Carolina facility later in the year. Notably, the electric SUV will only qualify for the $7,500 federal EV tax credit when leased, as the industry continues to witness a downward trend in EV prices driven by market dynamics and fierce competition.
