The couple, known as Vicente y Fernanda on their social media platforms, recounted the terrifying incident that occurred while they were camping in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand. The influencers, who have been sharing their cross-country motorcycle journey with over 300,000 Instagram followers, spoke to Spanish TV channel Antena 3 about the brutal assault.
During the attack, Fernanda was raped and Vicente was subjected to repeated beatings by the group of men. In a chilling interview, Fernanda described the ordeal, stating that multiple men took turns assaulting her while others watched for hours. The couple also shared their traumatic experience through Instagram videos, showing Fernanda with bruises and swelling, expressing the unimaginable horror they had endured.
The victims flagged down police on a roadside in Dumka district, where they were found visibly injured. The couple, who are Spanish citizens, were taken to a nearby hospital, where Fernanda disclosed the rape to medical personnel.
