Tesla Cybertruck Accelerator Recall: 3,878 Vehicles Affected – Take Action Now!

FREMONT, California – Tesla is recalling nearly 4,000 of its 2024 Cybertrucks due to a potential safety issue with the accelerator pedal. The company discovered that the pedal could become stuck, leading to unintended acceleration and an increased risk of accidents.

According to a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the accelerator pedal pad in the affected Cybertrucks may dislodge and get trapped by the interior trim. The recall specifically applies to 2024 Cybertrucks manufactured between November 13, 2023, and April 4, 2024.

As of the latest update, Tesla has not received reports of any collisions, injuries, or fatalities associated with this problem. The NHTSA confirmed that Tesla has already taken steps to address the issue by installing a new accelerator pedal component in Cybertrucks currently in production.

Tesla, led by CEO Elon Musk, has announced that it will replace or repair the accelerator pedal assembly at no cost for affected vehicle owners. Those impacted can reach out to Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752, using the recall number SB-24-33-003. Notification letters are slated to be sent to owners in June.

The electric automaker faced production delays with its Cybertruck model, delivering only a few units to customers in November. Musk acknowledged the challenges of scaling up production during a conference call, mentioning the obstacles encountered in bringing the innovative vehicle to market.

Despite the setback with the recall, Tesla remains committed to ensuring the safety and satisfaction of its customers, reflecting the company’s dedication to quality and accountability in addressing any issues that may arise. The recall underscores the importance of proactive safety measures in the automotive industry and the continuous efforts to uphold the highest standards of performance and reliability.
